Storage Bee is built to respect your privacy. In short: everything happens on your Mac, and we don't collect your data.

What we collect

Nothing. Storage Bee does not create an account, does not require sign‑in, and does not send your files, file names, folder contents, or scan results anywhere. All scanning and cleaning happens locally on your device.

Your files

Storage Bee reads file information (names, sizes, dates and locations) only to show you what's taking up space. This information stays on your Mac. When you choose to remove files, they're moved to your Trash (or, for iCloud‑only files you choose to delete, removed via iCloud, where they remain recoverable in "Recently Deleted" for about 30 days).

Permissions

macOS may ask your permission before Storage Bee can read protected folders (such as Desktop, Documents and Downloads). Granting access simply lets the app look inside those folders to help you clean them. You can change these permissions anytime in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Payments

If you buy Storage Bee, payment is handled by our partner Paddle, who acts as the merchant of record. We never see or store your card details. Paddle's handling of your payment information is covered by Paddle's own privacy policy.

Analytics & tracking

Storage Bee does not include third‑party analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
